Congratulations Joanne & Angus!

A huge well done to Angus and Joanne who picked up the Summit Award. Congratulations from all team at COPE Ltd for all their hard work!

Joanne and Angus have volunteered at COPE Ltd for 3 years. They are valuable members of the team at COPE and have both developed a vast amount of technical and Employability skills in the areas that they work.

Alison Moar, Employability Manager said “Joanne works within our retail and production setting at Shetland Soap Company, she has a great work ethic and has become a confident and independent member of the team. Angus works at Shetland Home and Garden Company, he is a very committed and reliable member of our team. Both Joanne and Angus gained their ASDAN employability workright award last year. Both of them, developing core employability skills, knowledge and understanding of the working environment. I huge well done to them both for picking up their Summit award and also the completion of their individual ASDAN awards. Everyone at COPE are very proud of their achievements.”

Saltire Awards is the Scottish Governments national youth volunteer awards. They celebrate, recognise and reward the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers in Scotland, aged between 12 and 25. Young people gain nationally recognised certificates, signed by Scottish Government Ministers, for the different amounts of volunteering they do.

Saltire Awards helps young volunteers to reflect on, capture and communicate their learning and development gained through their volunteering.
