First Minister Nicola Sturgeon visits Shetland Soap Company

We feel very proud and honoured to have been able to welcome Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to our Shetland Soap Company.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was in Shetland to lend her support to local candidate Tom Wills for the upcoming by-election. During her visit Ms Sturgeon visited one of our business on the street, Shetland Soap Company, where our team showed her how we make and sell our handmade products.

Ingrid Webb, Chief Executive Officer of COPE, described the First Minister’s visit as being positive and personal. Ms Sturgeon spent time with our participants at the shop and in our production area asking and answering questions. Ms Webb said “she was so down to earth, and genuinely interested in what we do”.
