Zero Waste Scotland - Revolve Certification

Revolve is Scotland’s national re-use quality standard, which aims to increase re-use by improving professionalism, customer experience and visibility of re-use organisations.

What does Revolve mean to you?

45% of people in Scotland say that if they can be assured of the quality, safety and cleanliness of products then they would be more likely to shop second-hand. That’s where Revolve certification comes in.

Buying second-hand goods offers great value and is much more eco-friendly than buying new. It is the single most important thing you can do to help the environment. Revolve quality and safety standards help to give shoppers confidence to think second hand first. Everything you buy from us has been cleaned, quality and function checked, tested to meet legally required safety standards, and comes with the same statutory rights as buying brand-new.

Revolve certification guarantees that we:

  • Meet strict standards for legal requirements and product safety.
  • Achieve and maintain the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) ‘Committed to Excellence Award’ issued by Quality Scotland which recognises business that are committed to quality and continuous improvement. This pan-European quality standard is used by over 30,000 organisations.
  • Successfully completed the Revolve retail programme of professional training and support to guarantee an excellent customer experience.
  • Complete a full audit to maintain our certifiation once every two years.
